Description
Sonographer (Echo) – Temp Position
Location: Sioux City, Iowa
Shift: Days
Hours per day: 8
Contract length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide professional and clinical sonography services as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses.
- Perform approximately 7-8 scans per day.
- Work 36-40 hours per week; overtime billable after 40 hours.
- Required to work 1-2 of the following summer holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day.
- Orientation scheduled for May 26–27 and June 8–9.
- Electronic Medical Record system used: EPIC.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Cardiovascular & Vascular Sonographer experience.
- Completion of at least 1 prior travel contract.
- Active Iowa license at time of submission.
- Certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) and Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certifications.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Skills checklist specific to Cardiovascular & Vascular Sonographer discipline.
- Preferred: Professional reference or performance evaluation within the last 24 months.
Additional Information
- Night and weekend call-back and on-call pay multipliers apply (details not included here).
- May be asked to float within the sonography discipline across local campuses.
