Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Tech
Location: Lafayette, Indiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (Interventional Radiology Tech)
- Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
- Hours per week: 40 hours
- Call Requirement: 10 shifts per month including weekend call
- Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd or 4th weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- First-time travelers accepted

Job Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic radiographic procedures for radiological diagnosis across all patient age groups (pediatric to geriatric)
- Follow physician instructions, prepare and operate equipment, and position patients correctly to obtain requested diagnostic images
- Provide patient care and maintain professionalism
- May be required to scrub into procedures as needed
- May need to obtain advanced credentials in interventional radiology if applicable
- Must demonstrate knowledge of sterile technique and supplies used during special exams
- Ability to maneuver equipment and improvise patient positioning when routine positioning is not possible
Required Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Indiana
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist, with experience within the last year
- ARRT (R) certification
- BLS certification

Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License or Passport (clear copy)
- Background checks including 7-year history, criminal, sex offender, and education verification
- State license verification within 30 days of start
- Certifications as applicable (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.)
- Competency exams and medication/pharmacology test as required
- Physical exam within 12 months of start date
- Fit mask test within 12 months (N95 or approved respirators)
- Immunizations and titers:
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; no declinations accepted
- Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; no declinations accepted
- Hepatitis B series, titer, or signed declination required
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap: Preferred but not required
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months
- Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required for flu season (9/30 - 3/31); declinations not accepted
- Tuberculosis screening within 1 year (PPD, QuantiFERON, or T-SPOT) with follow-up chest x-ray if positive
- Color blindness testing (Ishihara or equivalent) with minimum score of 100%
- References: Minimum 2 from recent employment verified within 2 years, with appropriate supervisory titles
- Employment application covering 7 years with explanations for gaps of 30+ days
- Skills checklist within 12 months and annually updated
Additional Notes
- Pending Indiana state license accepted if application is submitted
- Guaranteed hours vary by shift pattern:
- 8 or 10-hour shifts: 40 hours/week
- 3 twelve-hour shifts: 36 hours/week
- 4 twelve-hour shifts: 48 hours/week
- Facility-specific orientation and compliance forms must be completed prior to start
- On-site fit testing available only with prior approval; some campuses do not offer on-site fit testing
- Indiana RN travel restrictions effective 11/30/24 do not apply to this role
