Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) - Temp, Days Shift
Location: Plymouth, Massachusetts
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days
Hours per Day: 8
Job Summary
- Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement appropriate plans of care following regulatory and clinical practice standards.
- Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practices to support clinical interventions.
- Assess patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly, documenting in clinical records.
- Evaluate treatment outcomes and modify services based on patient evaluations.
- Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and healthcare team members regarding patient progress and treatment plans.
- Prepare comprehensive discharge summaries and maintain patient records per regulatory and company policies.
- Accurately record treatment minutes in compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.
- Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, rehabilitation meetings, and required trainings.
- Obtain necessary durable medical equipment (DME) or supplies as needed.
- Supervise and support Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or Student Speech-Language Pathologists.
- Adhere to ASHA and State practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in Massachusetts
- Minimum of 1 year of Speech Language Pathologist experience within the last year
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Experience in Long Term Care settings
- Experience in Rehabilitation settings
- Experience in Supervisory roles
