Unit Information

• Unit: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
• Number of Beds: 2 rooms
• Staffing: 1 RN and 1 Tech on day shift; 2 RNs and 1 Tech on call
• Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:1
• Equipment Used: Impella, ECMO, Bypass pump, Laser (lead extraction), EVH, Rapid Transfuser
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Call Requirements: On-call duties are split and depend on staffing availability
• Dress Code: OR scrubs provided by the unit

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Proficiency in all surgical service lines

Additional Information

• Rotating weekends may be required
• RN responsibilities include observation, assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care
