Description
Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer - Radiology
Location: Atlantis, Florida
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36
Unit Information
- Unit has 4 ultrasound scanners and 4 tables.
- Staffing: 4 ultrasound techs per shift, covering 24 hours with 12-hour shifts (day and night).
- Patient ratio is 1:1.
- Equipment includes GE 1.5, Discovery 450, X-Ray, MRI, and CT machines.
- Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech.
Job Description
- Operate ultrasound equipment to create images of internal body structures.
- Produce images of bones, organs, and tissues for accurate assessment.
- Heavy call responsibility.
- Work independently is a must.
- Must be adaptable, flexible, and willing to work weekends and nights.
- Critical thinking skills required.
- No call associated.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, with experience within the last year.
- Certification in ARRT (S) or ARDMS.
- Current BLS certification.
- De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- ACLS certification (preferred but not required).
Dress Code
- Scrubs color: Gray (Ultrasound Tech).
Work Environment
- Acute care medical/surgical facility with specialties including cardiovascular care, neuroscience, oncology, orthopedics, bariatrics, and women’s services.
- Teaching facility with a strong reputation nationally.
Additional Notes
- Candidates without the required certifications and experience will not be considered.
- The role requires flexibility and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
