Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room

Location

Omaha, Nebraska

Contract Length

13 weeks

Department & Specialty

Emergency Room (ER) Nursing
27 beds
Patient population: All ages

Shift & Scheduling

Night shifts primarily (7p-7a or 3p-3a)
Shift options include: 7a-7p, 9a-9p, 11a-11p, 1p-1a, 3p-3a, 7p-7a
Weekend requirement: Every third weekend (Friday/Saturday nights and Saturday/Sunday days)
Holiday requirement: Rotating
Self-scheduling available, but shifts are not guaranteed until schedule is finalized
No floating required

Patient Care Support

Nurse aides, EMTs, and paramedics available on each shift
Phlebotomy services available (RNs do not draw labs)

Required Certifications & Licenses

Current RN license
BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
Valid driver’s license required at time of application (used to verify candidate is within 50-mile radius)

Experience & Testing

Pass/fail exam during orientation (open book, 90% required to pass)
No prior travel experience explicitly required

Additional Requirements & Policies

Radius rule: Candidate must live within 50 miles and may not be currently employed full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit (including CHI or Dignity)
Fingernail policy: Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas; refusal to comply results in contract termination
Return to Office (RTO) required within 7 days or less from contract start; no additional RTO approvals after submission
