Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location: Lone Tree, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Unit Information
- Department: Respiratory Therapy
- Facility Size: 240 beds
- RT Staff: 15 respiratory therapists
- Staffing Minimums:
- Day Shift: Minimum 3 RTs
- Night Shift: Minimum 3 RTs
- Patient Load: Approximately 30-40 points per shift
- Equipment: PB 840 ventilators used in ICU
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Meditech
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Colorado
- Minimum 6 months (0.5 years) of Respiratory Therapist experience in an acute care setting within the last year
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with Meditech EMR system
- Experience in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
- Experience in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Typical Procedures Performed
- Administer respiratory treatments
- Ventilator setup and management
- Assist with intubation
- Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) sampling and analysis
- Patient and staff education
- All respiratory therapy modalities across Emergency Department, Pediatrics, ICU, NICU, and Medical-Surgical units
