Job Description

• Perform general ultrasound including OB, small parts, and vascular ultrasound (upper & lower venous and arterial)
• Average of 35 scans/studies per day, 24-hour coverage
• Must be able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Start IVs as needed
• Use Siemens S2000 ultrasound equipment
• Work with EMR system Community Works and PACS system Intellirad/Intelliconnect
• No floating to other areas
• Radiologist available in-house until 5pm; after hours covered remotely
• No call or standby required

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts, working a 2-2-3 schedule between two teams
• Shift times vary: 6am-6pm, 7am-7pm, or 8am-8pm
• Weekend work every other weekend (EOW)
• May be asked to participate in holiday rotation
• Orientation: 5 shifts with a preceptor, 6am-6pm, alternating weekends, no call during orientation

Required Certifications & Licenses

• ARDMS certification and/or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) via ARDMS
• BLS certification
• Valid West Virginia license
• WV CARES registration required prior to start
• OB and arterial extremity Doppler experience required

Additional Information

• Department has 3 ultrasound rooms
• Scrub color: any clean, professional color allowed; permanent staff wear emerald green (optional for travelers)
• Must submit a copy of an unexpired driver’s license (within 50-mile radius rule)
• No Registered Radiology Assistants (RRA) used
• Imaging Director and Manager available weekdays during daylight hours and by phone as needed

Experience

• First-time travelers accepted (no prior travel experience required)
