Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Travel Position

Location

  • Montana, Missoula

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Unit & Patient Population

  • Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit (ARU)
  • 10 beds (expanding to 14 by end of 2026)
  • Patient population: Adult and geriatric
  • Patient ratio: 5-10 patients
  • Electronic Health Record (EHR) system: Cerner

Position Details

  • Role: Speech Language Pathologist
  • Number of openings: 1
  • Shift: Day
  • Weekly guaranteed hours: 30
  • Weekend hours: None
  • Call requirements: None
  • Float requirements: Must float to inpatient acute care (adult)

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in Montana
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
  • Experience as a Speech Language Pathologist within the last year
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

  • Cerebrovascular Accident (CVA)
  • Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
  • Other neurological conditions
  • Debility
  • Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
  • Altered Mental Status

Work Environment & Culture

  • Strong team collaboration emphasized
  • Good communication skills required for working with multiple disciplines

  • Scrubs allowed but not required; no specific scrub color mandated
