    Job Opportunity: PT Inpatient Rehab

    Location: Santa Rosa, California
    Employment Type: Travel/Contract
    Contract Length: 13 weeks
    Shift: Day (5x8 hours), 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
    Hours per Week: 40


    Job Description

    • Position requires acute rehab experience or willingness to float to acute rehab with proper orientation.
    • Floating between similar units is required.
    • Locals are accepted.
    • Pending licenses are not accepted.
    • Free parking available.
    • Charting system: Epic.
    • Facility type: Acute Care Hospital with 277 staffed beds.

    Required Qualifications

    • Valid Physical Therapist license in California.
    • Minimum 3 years of Physical Therapist experience.
    • Physical Therapist experience within the last year.
    • Experience in a Rehabilitation setting.

    Background and Compliance Requirements

    • Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID).
    • Social Security Card (as applicable).
    • Background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually.
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated monthly.
    • Education verification required for all candidates.
    • Employment application covering at least last 5 years.
    • Minimum of 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting.
    • Work history verification required if exceptions to references are requested.
    • Various state-specific background checks and attestations as applicable.

    Health and Safety Requirements

    • Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO.
    • Fit mask test required annually (on-site testing available if needed).
    • Immunizations and documentation required:
      • TDAP vaccine within 10 years (declination accepted).
      • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (annual update required).
      • 2 MMR vaccines or positive titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella.
      • Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination.
      • Varicella vaccination or positive titer.
      • Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season (declination accepted).
      • COVID vaccination record preferred; declinations not required but unvaccinated must follow infection prevention protocols.
    • 9 Panel Drug Screen within 12 months of start.
    • Respiratory safety clearance required annually for respirator use.

    Training and Competency

    • Completion of annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp).
    • Epic training modules required.
    • Medication aide exam required if applicable.
    • Color blindness testing may be required on a unit basis.
    • Fetal Heart Rate Monitoring training or certification required for L&D RNs only (not applicable here).

    Additional Notes

    • Floating policy acknowledgment required; may float to other facilities within reasonable distance.
    • First-time travelers accepted.
    • Weekend requirements and on-call status to be determined by manager discretion.
    • Return travelers with less than 30-day gap may have some background and drug screen requirements waived.
    • Passport-style badge photo required for badge issuance.
