Job Opportunity: Home Health Nurse

Location: Largo, Florida
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 20 weeks

Job Description

• Provide skilled home care nursing with infusion experience (private duty nursing experience only is not accepted).
• Perform home health visits (6-8 per day) including cardiopulmonary assessments, wound care (basic wound care, ABI compression dressing, wound vac dressing), Pleurx/Aseptdrain care, foley catheter care and changes, staple/suture removal, glucometer use, pro-time machine use, SQ/IM injections, lab draw venipuncture, IV skills, PICC line or Midline care and dressing changes, and SQ port access/deaccess.
• Manage general medical diagnoses and high-risk diagnoses such as heart failure (HF), COPD, myocardial infarction (MI), pneumonia, and stroke.
• Provide post-operative care.
• Work hours vary based on HomeCare office needs, typically Monday-Friday with some weekend shifts; shifts generally 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
• Visits and hours are self-scheduled based on office needs.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Florida
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 1 year of Home Health experience, with experience within the last year
• Experience in a Home Care setting
• Experience in a Home Health setting
• Infusion experience
• Experience with OASIS documentation and processes
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
