Description
Respiratory Therapist (Temp) - Claremont, NH
Job Summary
- Perform EKGs, interpret reports, and communicate findings to physicians.
- Set up and monitor mechanical ventilators; perform critical care duties including airway management and tracheal suctioning.
- Patient population primarily adults, with occasional pediatric patients.
- Use MedHost EMR system.
- Dress code: Scrubs.
- Shift: Rotating, 12-hour shifts.
- Travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible.
- Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted and approved at the time of application; no more than 5 days allowed.
Contract Length
- 13 weeks.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license for New Hampshire (must be uploaded with application).
- Minimum 2+ years of current Respiratory Therapist experience.
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification.
- Active American Heart Association ACLS certification.
- Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
- RRT Certification through The National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
Preferred Qualifications
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support).
- CPFT (Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist).
- Previous travel experience preferred but not required.
Additional Requirements
- Traveler must have their own vehicle.
- All medical and occupational health compliance items must be completed and documented within 5 days of offer acceptance.
- All scheduling requests, including time off, must be included with the initial application; no changes allowed after offer.
Notes
- CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist) credentials are not eligible for this position.
- No call or call-back responsibilities.
- No overtime or holiday pay multipliers applicable.
This position offers an opportunity to work in a 25-bed general medical and surgical hospital with a 24/7 staffed emergency department serving a broad patient population.
