Registered Nurse - Postpartum / Mom Baby (Travel)

Unit Information
- Unit: Postpartum / Mother-Baby (3 North)
- Beds: 23
- Staff: Approximately 80 staff members on mom/baby unit
- Day Shift Staffing: 1 charge nurse, 2-3 CNAs, 9-10 RNs on the floor, 3-4 RNs in the nursery
- Night Shift Staffing: 1 charge nurse, 9-10 RNs on the floor, 2-3 RNs in the nursery
- Patient Ratios: Approximately 3-4 patients per nurse (estimated)
- Equipment: Main computer system - CPN
- EMR System: Meditech / CPN
Typical Procedures
- Monitoring vital signs
- Administering medications
- Managing perineal care
- Educating parents on newborn care, safety, and bonding
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Colorado
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 1 year of postpartum experience within the last year
- Experience in an acute care setting
- Current certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting
