Registered Nurse - Postpartum/Mom Baby (Travel)

- Denver, Colorado

- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Hours per week: 36
Unit Information
- Unit: Postpartum / Mother-Baby
- Beds: 23
- Staff: Approximately 80 staff members on mom/baby unit
- Shift staffing (Night example): 1 charge nurse, 9-10 RNs on the floor, 2-3 RNs in the nursery
- Patient ratio: Approximately 3-4 patients per nurse (estimated)
- EMR system: Meditech / CPN
- Equipment: Main computer system - CPN
Typical Procedures
- Monitoring vital signs
- Administering medications
- Managing perineal care
- Educating parents on newborn care, safety, and bonding
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Colorado
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 1 year of postpartum experience within the last year
- Experience in an acute care setting
- Current certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience specifically in a Mother/Baby unit
- Flexibility with scheduling
- Ability to adapt quickly to new situations
