Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Location

  • Lewiston, Maine

Assignment Details

  • Travel position
  • Contract length: 8 weeks
  • Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM (3 twelve-hour shifts per week, self-scheduling)
  • Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
  • Call requirements: Yes
  • Unit: Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP)
  • Number of beds on unit: 24
  • Patient ratios: 1:6 (census varies from 3 to 24 patients)
  • Patient population: Neonates and adults

Unit & Facility Profile

  • Trauma Level III
  • Equipment used: External Fetal Monitoring (EFM), IV pumps
  • Electronic Health Records (EHR): EPIC, Powerchart, Omnicell Medication System

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Maine
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
  • Experience in Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum (LDRP)
  • Postpartum care experience
  • Certifications: NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), BLS, ACLS

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWHONN Intermediate certification
  • Experience in Level 1 Nursery, Mother/Baby care, and circulating for C-sections

Additional Information

  • No first-time travelers accepted for this assignment
  • Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
  • No float requirements
