Assignment Details

Travel position
Contract length: 8 weeks
Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM (3 twelve-hour shifts per week, self-scheduling)
Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
Call requirements: Yes
Unit: Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP)
Number of beds on unit: 24
Patient ratios: 1:6 (census varies from 3 to 24 patients)
Patient population: Neonates and adults

Unit & Facility Profile

Trauma Level III
Equipment used: External Fetal Monitoring (EFM), IV pumps
Electronic Health Records (EHR): EPIC, Powerchart, Omnicell Medication System

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Maine
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
Experience in Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum (LDRP)
Postpartum care experience
Certifications: NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), BLS, ACLS

Preferred Qualifications

AWHONN Intermediate certification
Experience in Level 1 Nursery, Mother/Baby care, and circulating for C-sections

Additional Information

No first-time travelers accepted for this assignment
Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
No float requirements
