Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR)
Location: Waterloo, Iowa
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Weekend call approximately every 4th to 5th weekend
- Weeknight call approximately every 1 to 2 weeks
- Holiday call rotation
- Shift options:
- 36-hour shifts: 09:00–18:30 or 06:00–18:30
- 40-hour shifts: 08:00–18:30
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Iowa
- Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
Background and Compliance Requirements
- Federal, nationwide, and county criminal background check covering the last 7 years, including SSN verification (dated within 30 days of start)
- Iowa-specific criminal history, sex offender, and dependent adult & child abuse registry checks (within 30 days prior to start)
- Education verification of highest academic degree or diploma/GED
- Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (no THC) with MRO signature
- Code of Conduct, Conflict of Interest Disclosure, Confidentiality and Security Agreement, Integrity and Audit Services, Non-Employee Upload, System Access Form, and other required professional forms completed and signed
- Exclusion screenings including EPLS, OIG, OFAC, NSO, and Joint Commission CORE exam (all dated within 30 days of start)
