Description
Job Opportunity: Surgical Tech
Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 06:45 AM – 5:15 PM (10-hour shift)
Job Details
- Position involves surgical technology duties.
- Contract length is approximately 13 weeks.
- Shift hours are from early morning to late afternoon.
Required Qualifications
- Surgical Technician with at least 1 year of experience.
- Surgical Technician experience within the last year.
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Health & Safety Requirements
- Fit test required.
- Trinity 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (includes specific substances; no THC).
- COVID-19 vaccine proof required (including booster through September 2025) or approved declination/exemption.
- Proof of MMR vaccination (2 doses) or IgG titer.
- Hepatitis B vaccination series must be started prior to start date.
- Influenza vaccine is optional.
- 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) test required; positive TB requires chest x-ray within last year.
- Varicella vaccination proof or IgG titer required.
- Physical/health statement confirming fitness to work within the last year.
- Current, non-expired Tdap vaccine required; declination accepted if no pediatric interaction.
Professional & Compliance Requirements
- Signed Code of Conduct form.
- Signed Confidentiality of Patient and Proprietary Information and Information System Security Agreement.
- Signed Integrity and Audit Services form.
- Conflict of Interest Disclosure form.
- Criminal background check (federal, nationwide, county) from last 7 years, including SSN verification, dated within 30 days of start.
- Education verification of highest academic level.
- EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) and OIG (Office of Inspector General) checks dated within 30 days.
- NSO (National Sex Offender) check dated within 30 days, including statewide check for Michigan.
- System access form completed and uploaded one week before start.
- Respirator evaluation with physician signature required; on-site completion for Muskegon & Grand Rapids locations.
