Description
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Travel Position
Location: Kansas City, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36
Job Description
- Provide speech-language pathology services in both acute care and inpatient rehabilitation settings.
- Caseload shared among all speech therapists covering acute and rehab patients.
- Facility is a Level 1 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center with a 26-bed rehab unit.
- Perform bedside swallow evaluations; video swallow studies preferred.
- Use TIMS equipment and document using Meditech system.
- Schedule is Monday through Friday with rotating weekends preferred but flexible.
- No on-call requirements.
- Floating between acute care and rehab units as needed.
- Dress code: gray scrubs.
- Diverse patient population with varied and dynamic caseload.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license in Missouri
- Minimum 1 year of Speech-Language Pathologist experience within the last year
- ASHA Certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience with bedside swallow evaluations
- De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting
