Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Travel Position

Location: Kansas City, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36


Job Description

  • Provide speech-language pathology services in both acute care and inpatient rehabilitation settings.
  • Caseload shared among all speech therapists covering acute and rehab patients.
  • Facility is a Level 1 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center with a 26-bed rehab unit.
  • Perform bedside swallow evaluations; video swallow studies preferred.
  • Use TIMS equipment and document using Meditech system.
  • Schedule is Monday through Friday with rotating weekends preferred but flexible.
  • No on-call requirements.
  • Floating between acute care and rehab units as needed.
  • Dress code: gray scrubs.
  • Diverse patient population with varied and dynamic caseload.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license in Missouri
  • Minimum 1 year of Speech-Language Pathologist experience within the last year
  • ASHA Certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Experience with bedside swallow evaluations
  • De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting
