Job Description

• Perform as a surgical technologist in the Operating Room, demonstrating knowledge of surgical procedures.
• Ensure all supplies and equipment are available, assembled correctly, and in working condition for surgical procedures.
• Confirm and assemble sterile instruments properly; maintain and monitor the sterile field throughout procedures.
• Anticipate surgeon’s needs and assist accordingly.
• Keep accurate accounts of medications, sharps, instruments, and sponges on the sterile field.
• Demonstrate problem-solving skills related to surgical procedures and verify items on physician preference cards.
• Properly use, assemble, clean, and sterilize equipment and disposables.
• Set up sterile fields in a timely manner.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist, including experience within the last year.
• Active NBSTSA Certification.
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
