Registered Nurse (RN) – Outpatient / Triage (Days)
Location: Claremont, New Hampshire
Employment Type: Temporary
Shift: Days (8 hours per day)
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Job Overview
- Primarily phone triage responsibilities; a large portion of the role involves phone triage.
- Work independently in a small, rural outpatient setting.
- Must have own vehicle for assignment; local travelers within 50 miles will not be considered.
- No more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) allowed during the assignment; all RTO must be submitted and approved upfront—no changes after offer.
- Dress code: personal scrubs of any color.
- No call or call-back required.
Required Qualifications
- Current New Hampshire RN license or Compact RN license (must be uploaded with profile).
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification (must be uploaded with profile).
- Minimum 3 years current clinic/primary care experience.
- Minimum 2 years current triage experience (phone triage experience strongly required).
- Experience with injections and blood draws (required).
- Adult outpatient experience (required).
- Comfortable working with Athena EMR (highly preferred).
- Rural or small facility experience (highly preferred).
- Previous travel experience is highly preferred but not required.
Additional Information
- Must include permanent address and any scheduling requests (RTO) with profile submission.
- Facility is a 25-bed general medical and surgical hospital with a 24/7 staffed emergency department in a rural community.
- The role supports outpatient services including lab services, audiology, and occupational health.
Summary
This is a temporary RN position focused on outpatient and triage duties in a small rural hospital setting. The role requires strong phone triage skills, clinical experience in primary care, and the ability to work independently. Candidates must have a New Hampshire RN license, BLS certification, and their own vehicle. Prior travel experience and Athena EMR familiarity are advantageous.
