Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Stepdown (Nights)

Location: Rock Island, Illinois
Employment Type: Temporary
Shift: Nights
Shift Length: 12 hours per day
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide professional and clinical nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses.
• Patient ratio approximately 1:4-5.
• Use of EPIC electronic medical record system required.

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license at time of submission.
• Minimum 2 years of recent Stepdown / Progressive Care experience (24 months current experience required).
• Experience specifically in Cardiac Stepdown required.
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR system required.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA or American Red Cross required.
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification from AHA or American Red Cross required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Skills checklist specific to Stepdown / Progressive Care discipline required.
• Professional references or performance evaluations within the last 24 months preferred.

Additional Information

• First-time travel nurses are accepted; prior travel experience is not required.
• Orientation sessions are scheduled regularly throughout the year.
• Normal workweek is 36-40 hours; overtime is billable after 40 hours.
• Night shift includes holiday and overtime pay multipliers.
• On-call, charge, precepting, and callback pay available as applicable.
• Local candidates within 50 miles are eligible with adjusted pay rates.

Work Environment

• Progressive Care Unit / Stepdown setting focusing on cardiac patients.
• Interdisciplinary team collaboration expected.
