Description

Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Nurse

Location: Hickory, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 4 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Patient Ratio: 1:2
Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in Labor & Delivery with Mother/Baby experience
Travel Experience: Preferred but not required
Locals: Accepted at the same rate


Required Certifications

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA, ARC, or US Department of Defense approved
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA only
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – Advanced NRP through AAP required (Essentials not accepted)

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse license in North Carolina
  • Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • ACLS certification
  • NRP certification
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Requirements

  • Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
  • Completed application/resume
  • Skills checklist updated annually for applicable unit
  • Bring hard copies of all health documents on the first day
  • Orientation safety manual acknowledgement (HIPAA compliance)

Notes

  • Overtime available after 48 hours worked
  • Must include cover sheet and all required documents in profile before start
  • Facility requires compliance with all background and credential verifications prior to onboarding
  • Candidates with prior travel experience preferred but not mandatory
