Description
Cath Lab Tech - Travel/Contract Position
Location: Portland, Oregon
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 4x10 hour days (Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
Call: Approximately one weeknight per week and one weekend every 3-4 weeks
Job Description
- Experienced in both Cath Lab and Angiography with scrub experience required.
- Must be willing to float within the site and across the system; refusal to float may result in contract cancellation.
- Local travelers are accepted.
- Start date: ASAP, any Monday.
- Charting system used: Epic.
- Parking: Free in any unrestricted space.

Required Qualifications
- Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Oregon
- Minimum of 1 year of Cath Lab Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only
- ARRT-R (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Radiography)
- Criminal background check with 7-year search including SSN trace, nationwide sex offender, county, federal, FACIS L3, and international searches if applicable
- Copy of diploma required for RRTs (if applicable)
- Primary source verification of certifications and licenses required
- Physical exam within 1 year prior to start
- Negative TB test (PPD, Qgold, or Tspot) or chest x-ray within 1 year prior to start; TB questionnaire required annually
- Immunity or vaccination documentation required for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (immune titer and 3-dose vaccine series or signed declination)
- Varicella
- Tdap vaccine within 10 years of start or signed declination (Td vaccines not accepted)
- Negative drug screen within 12 months of start (instant tests acceptable)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or signed declination required annually (October 1 - March 31)
- COVID vaccination documentation or declination required
- Respirator medical clearance required annually unless no patient interaction
Additional Requirements
- Must complete any assigned education within one week of assignment start.
- Must sign floating acknowledgement form prior to start.
- Two professional references required (supervisory or above, within 3 years).
Work Environment & Uniform
- Scrubs provided for X-Ray Tech/OR/IR/Cath Lab/PACU.
- Scrub color guidelines:
- Case Managers: scrubs or business casual
- Cath Lab staff: provided scrubs
- Other units: any color except all black, dark green, or camo
Important Notes
- Low census mandatory cancellation: must cancel 1.5 hours before shift start; one mandatory cancellation allowed per two-week pay period without penalty.
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
