Job Details

• First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply.
• No floating between units.
• On-call required during low census; typically one on-call shift per pay period.
• Weekend work required every other weekend.
• Staffing ratios follow AWHONN standards.
• Scrub color: Any color allowed; specific units (OR, Critical Care, ED, Maternal Child) provide scrubs.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oregon.
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, with experience within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.

Experience & References

• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required.
• Prior travel experience is not required.
• Minimum of 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years.

Schedule & Work Conditions

• Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 3 shifts per week (36 hours).
• Weekend shifts required every other weekend.
• On-call shifts may be assigned during low census periods.
• No floating between units.

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start date, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, confirming ability to work with or without accommodation.
• Immunizations and screenings required:

  • TDAP vaccine within 10 years (declination accepted).
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (annual updates required).
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer.
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination.
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer.
  • Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season (declination accepted).
  • COVID-19 vaccination record preferred; declinations accepted with adherence to masking policies.
• 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start.
• Respiratory safety clearance required annually for respirator use (travel only).
• Fit mask testing required for travel nurses, updated annually.

Background & Credentialing

• Background check within 90 days of start covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years; must be updated annually.
• Education verification required for nursing degree; international education requires diploma/transcript.
• NURSYS license verification required.
• Employment application covering at least last 5 years of employment required.
• Work history verification required if exceptions to references are requested.
• Additional state-specific background checks and attestations may apply.

Training & Competency

• Completion of annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp).
• Epic charting system training required; transcripts must be submitted prior to or shortly after start.
• Medication and pharmacology competency exams as applicable.
• Fetal Heart Rate Monitoring Assessment exam or valid EFM certification required for L&D RNs.

Additional Requirements

• Passport-style badge photo with neutral background required prior to start.
• Float policy acknowledgment required; traveler may be asked to float to other nearby facilities.
• On-call and weekend work are mandatory as described.
