Description
Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery
Location: Sylva, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Work in a 5-bed Labor and Delivery unit within an 86-bed acute care hospital.
- Patient population includes adults and neonates.
- Shift: 7 PM to 7 AM, 36 hours per week with rotated weekends.
- No call requirements.
- Patient ratios range from 1:2 to 1:1.
- Electronic Health Record system: Paragon.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
- Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience, with experience within the last year required.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NRP.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Competency in reading fetal heart rate tracings.
Unit and Work Environment
- Labor and Delivery department with a focus on pregnancy-related care.
- Team-oriented and friendly work culture.
- Dress code: Scrubs of any color allowed; no unacceptable attire specified.
Additional Information
- No float requirements.
- No call responsibilities.
- Patient care involves common diagnoses and treatments related to pregnancy.
- Orientation schedule available throughout the year.
