Description
Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery
Location: Manning, South Carolina
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (approximately 13 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Job Description
- Assess patient needs using history, observation, physical examination, and diagnostic data.
- Provide age-specific nursing interventions aligned with the plan of care and standards of practice.
- Foster a caring, compassionate, and respectful environment for patients, families, and visitors.
- Use appropriate health and safety equipment to protect patients and staff.
- Follow Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators and standard work procedures.
- Precept and mentor novice employees.
- Participate in hospital initiatives promoting Evidence Based Practices.
- Engage in continued professional growth through goal setting and educational opportunities.
- Float to assist in similar units as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Certification in Central Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) or National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
