Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - MS/Tele Float (Travel/Contract)

• Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Position Summary

• Float Pool role: Nurse will float to Medical-Surgical (MS), Telemetry (Tele) units, and Rehab as needed.
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, night shift (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM), every other weekend (EOW).
• Weekend and holiday shifts as needed.
• May care for COVID-19 patients.
• Tobacco and fragrance-free facility.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing.
• Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing experience within the last year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system.

Background and Compliance Requirements

• 7-year criminal background check required within 30 days of start; updated annually.
• Pennsylvania State Police PATCH search required within 1 year of start; must be finalized prior to start.
• Pennsylvania Child Abuse Search (Childline) required within 5 years; results must be on file within 45 days of assignment start.
• Pennsylvania FBI fingerprinting required within 5 years; results must be on file within 45 days of assignment start.
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start.
• Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug test within 1 year (required for agency only, not by facility).
• Attestations and verifications including I9, E-Verify, and education verification required.
• Facility-specific documents including photo for badge, confidentiality agreement, code of conduct, and health & wellness commitment must be reviewed and signed.
• Completion of facility Learning Management System (LMS) modules on PC/laptop prior to start.
• New hire orientation required by end of first day.

Additional Information

• Return to Office (RTO) maximum 7 days.
• No call requirements.
• Floating as needed to MS, Telemetry, and Rehab units.
• Facility requires notification if candidate uses tobacco or fragrances.
• Fit testing preferred but not required.
• Respiratory safety clearance required within 1 year and renewed annually.
• Hepatitis B declination form must be signed if applicable.
• Candidates must bring required medical forms to clinic for completion as instructed.

This position is ideal for experienced RNs comfortable with night shifts, floating between units, and working in a tobacco and fragrance-free environment. Compliance with extensive background checks, immunizations, and facility-specific training is mandatory.
