Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Employment Type: Travel
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights
Hours per Week: 36
Unit Information
- Department: Respiratory Therapy
- Unit: Respiratory Unit (4th Floor)
- Typical procedures:
- Ventilator setup (neonate through adult)
- Hi Flow in NICU
- Nebulizer treatments
- Nitric Oxide therapy
- Flolan therapy
- BiPAP
- Bubble CPAP
- EKGs
Required Certifications and Licenses
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license
Requirements/Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
- Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Completion of one of the following: Epic Training, Mountain Division Education, Respiratory Therapist Competency Exam, or USP 800 Hazardous Drug Risk training
Additional Information
- Must have experience with ER/CCU, NICU, Level 2 care, and EKG
- Floating: Respiratory Therapist covers all units
- Dress code: Hospital scrubs
- Weekend and on-call shifts required
This position is ideal for a Respiratory Therapist with solid clinical experience in critical care and neonatal respiratory support, ready to work night shifts in a fast-paced hospital environment.
