Position Details
- Specialty: Medical-Surgical / Telemetry (MS/Tele) Registered Nurse
- Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
- Patient Ratio: 1 nurse to 5-6 patients
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- On-call: Not required
- Floating: Required to float within scope to like units or sister facilities as needed

Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in South Carolina
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical / Telemetry nursing experience, with experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS certification

- Must be competent in telemetry nursing

Background and Compliance Requirements
- Annual background check covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years, including:
- SSN Trace
- County, state, national, sex offender, and FACIS 3 checks
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated with contract renewals
- Education verification required; diploma or transcripts accepted as placeholder if needed
- OFAC sanctions list screening prior to start
- South Carolina Medicaid Excluded Providers search for subcontractors
Documentation and Onboarding
- I-9 form confirming work eligibility in the US
- Copy of Driver’s License/State ID
- Copy of Social Security Card or SSN verification
- Clear, passport-style badge photo (frontal view, shoulders up, solid light background, business casual attire)
- Completion of facility-specific orientation modules (approximately 4-6 hours)

Health and Safety Requirements
- Physical exam updated annually, attesting ability to meet physical demands
- Negative TB test (T-spot or Q-Gold) within 90 days of start or proof of prior positive with chest x-ray
- Annual TB questionnaire completion
- Required vaccinations or proof of immunity:
- Tdap within 10 years or declination form
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: positive titer or vaccination series; boosters if low titer
- Varicella: positive titer or vaccination series; boosters if low titer
- Hepatitis B: titer, vaccine series, or declination
- Seasonal flu vaccination or medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Aug 1 - Mar 31)
- COVID-19 vaccination highly preferred; declination form required if not vaccinated
- 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
- Respirator medical clearance annually (RespSafety virtual questionnaire)
- Color blindness testing prior to start
Additional Certifications (as applicable)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) for pediatric units
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) except for ER RNs
- IV Therapy certification for select LPNs if applicable
- NIH Stroke Certification for ER units
- Radiation badge required for certain specialties (e.g., CVOR, Cath Lab, Radiology); process may take 5-7 days before starting patient care
