Registered Nurse - Case Management (Travel)

Location: Largo, Florida
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36

Job Description

• Work primarily in case management within a psych/rehab float unit environment.
• Facility uses Meditech and Midas electronic medical records systems.
• Typical patient ratio for case management is approximately 25:1.
• Schedule includes working every other weekend and holidays on a rotating basis with hospital staff.
• Parking available in garage (3rd and 4th floors) for AM and PM shifts.
• Scrub color for RNs: Navy Blue.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida
• Minimum 1 year of Acute Care Case Management experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Experience with MEDITECH electronic medical records system
• De-escalation skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Meditech and Midas EMR systems.
• Knowledge of complex discharge planning.

Additional Information

• The unit is competitive; having the preferred skills may improve chances of selection.
• The unit is part of a psych/rehab department treated as a float unit.
• Staff includes RNs, case managers, and social workers.
• Typical day shift staffing example: 1 charge nurse, 3 RNs, 2 CNAs, and 1-3 sitters.
