Unit Description
- 33-bed Emergency Department specializing in adult cardiac care and complex internal medicine
- High acuity patient population
- All-RN nursing staff
- Fast-paced environment requiring excellent critical thinking skills
Work Schedule
- 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM)
- Total 36 hours per week
Job Description
- Provide age- and culturally-specific patient care and education
- Utilize specialized nursing knowledge, judgment, and skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Adhere to the American Nursing Association (ANA) code of ethics and Ohio Nurse Practice Act
- Communicate effectively with peers using appropriate channels while maintaining confidentiality
- Demonstrate professional growth and maintain competence
- Adapt to change and work effectively in a culturally diverse setting
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
Experience
- No specific years of experience stated beyond RN licensure requirements
