Description
Radiation Therapist Travel Position - Albany, NY
Job Overview
- Administer ionizing radiation and radioactive substances to patients under the supervision of a Radiation Oncologist.
- Operate high voltage radiation therapy machinery safely and accurately.
- Monitor patients daily for reactions and report any adverse effects immediately.
- Enter and maintain patient treatment parameters in the electronic medical record.
- Interpret computerized treatment plans accurately.
- Follow radiation safety protocols as per New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH), ARRT, and ACRO guidelines.
- Maintain professional conduct focused on patient welfare.
- Equipment used includes Varian Truebeam and Varian 21ix.

Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New York State.
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification.
- Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience, including experience within the last year.
- Radiology experience.
