Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Tech
Location: Burbank, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (4x10 hours), 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Hours per Week: 40
Job Description
- Start date: ASAP
- Facility type: Acute Care Hospital with 392 staffed beds
- Floating required between outpatient center and hospital units
- Locals accepted
- No on-call required
Required Qualifications
- Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in California
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation)
- ARRT or NMTCB certification
Additional Requirements
- Must comply with floating policy acknowledgment
- Must meet all background check requirements including:
- Background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start, updated monthly
- Education verification required
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating ability to work with or without accommodation
- Drug screen: 9-panel within 12 months of start
- Immunizations and health documents:
- TDAP vaccine within 10 years or signed declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer with acceptable documentation
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season or signed declination
- COVID vaccination record preferred; declinations accepted
- Respiratory safety clearance required annually for travel candidates
- Photo for badge (passport style with neutral background) required
Competencies & Training
- Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
- Competency exams required as applicable by specialty
- Annual completion of regulatory and specialty-specific Workramp modules via LMS
- Epic training modules completion required (transcripts must be submitted)

This position offers a dynamic acute care environment with opportunities to work across multiple units. Candidates must be flexible to float between outpatient and hospital settings. Compliance with comprehensive credentialing, health, and training requirements is mandatory.
