Unit and Facility Overview

• ICU/IMC unit with 12 beds
• Patient ratios: ICU 2:1, IMC 3-4:1
• Electronic Health Record system: Medhost
• Patient population includes adult critical care cases
• Common diagnoses treated: Sepsis, DKA, COPD exacerbation, CVA
• No call requirements
• Weekend shifts every other weekend
• Shift options: days and nights
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
• Minimum 1 year of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience within the last year
• Certifications required: American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Education: Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience with ventilator management and critical drip titrations

Skills and Experience

• Must have experience with ventilator management, critical drip titrations, cardiac monitoring, and ABG interpretation
• Preferred skillset: critical care nursing
• Team player personality fit

Dress Code

• Scrubs color: Black
• Unacceptable attire: open-toe shoes, facial tattoos, and brightly colored or unconventional hair colors

Additional Notes

• Orientation is weekly
• Facility includes 52 medical/surgical beds, 12 acute rehabilitation beds, 12 intensive care beds, and an 8-bed labor/delivery/post-partum unit
• Emergency department open 24/7 with 16 beds
• Surgery department includes six major ORs and two endoscopy suites
• Diagnostic imaging offers advanced digital modalities including PET-CT and nuclear medicine
• Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify for travel status
