Surgical Tech Position - Ohio

Job Details

Required Qualifications

• Surgical Technician with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Proof of Hepatitis B immunization or immunity
• Proof of MMR immunization or immunity
• Proof of Tdap vaccination
• Proof of Varicella immunization or immunity

Health and Immunization Requirements

• MMR: Positive titers within last 15 years required; booster protocol allowed if low titer.
• Varicella: Positive titers within last 15 years required; booster protocol allowed if low titer.
• Hepatitis B: Proof of full series, partial series with declination form, or positive titer within 15 years accepted. No childhood vaccines allowed.
• Tdap: Vaccination within last 10 years required; no declinations accepted.
• COVID-19 Vaccine: Preferred but not required; medical or religious exemptions accepted with approval.
• Influenza Vaccine: Optional; if declined during flu season (October–March), masking and specific declination forms required. Medical exemptions require physician documentation.
• Tuberculosis Testing:

  • 2-step PPD or IGRA (QuantiFERON/TSPOT) with negative results within last 6 months required annually.
  • If positive, clear chest X-ray (valid for 5 years) and current TB questionnaire required.
• Fit Test: Completed within 1 year prior to start and updated annually; specific approved respirators listed.
• Physical Exam: Pre-employment physical exam within 1 year prior to start stating ability to work without restrictions; attestations not allowed.
