Certified Surgical Tech (CST) - Temp Position

Job Overview

• Function as a member of the surgical team primarily in a scrubbing capacity; may assist with circulating duties in the surgical suite.
• Maintain aseptic technique and provide a quiet environment in the OR.
• Share in OR suite preparation and use/maintain specialized equipment and supplies for various surgical procedures.
• Surgical cases include endocrine, breast, oncologic, gastrointestinal, colon and rectal (open and laparoscopic), hepatobiliary, orthopedic, total joints, and neurosurgery.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years current Certified Surgical Tech (CST) experience.
• National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) certification (current).
• High proficiency in orthopedic, total joints, and neurosurgery procedures.
• Scrubbing experience in general, orthopedic, neurosurgery, and endocrine surgeries.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification.
• New Hampshire Medical Technician Registration Certificate (can be pending upon offer).
• Must have own vehicle for assignment.
• Must be willing and able to take call.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to stressful situations.

• Permanent address must be included in profile.
• All requested time off (RTO) and scheduling requests must be submitted at time of application; no scheduling changes after offer.
• At least one (preferably two) supervisory signed references from the past two years of employment required.
• Skills checklist or certification documentation current within 1 year required.
