Job Opportunity: RN Labor and Delivery

Location: Silvis, Illinois
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 5:00 PM – 5:30 AM


Job Description

  • Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery
  • Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery setting

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Illinois
  • Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience, with experience within the last year
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • ACLS certification
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
  • AWHONN or Fetal Heart Monitoring certification
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Onboarding and Compliance Requirements

Health and Immunizations

  • COVID-19 vaccine with booster proof (or exemption/declination except not accepted in Illinois)
  • MMR: Proof of 2 vaccinations or IgG titer lab report
  • Hepatitis B: Must have started vaccination series prior to start (titers not accepted)
  • Influenza vaccine (optional)
  • 2 Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) with chest x-ray if positive TB as per regional requirements
  • Varicella: Proof of vaccination or IgG titer
  • Tdap: Current vaccine or declination if no pediatric interaction
  • Fit test for respirators
  • Physical/Health statement confirming fitness to work within the last year

Drug Screening

  • 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (no THC) with MRO signature

Background and Professional Checks

  • Federal, nationwide, and county criminal background check covering last 7 years, including SSN verification, dated within 30 days of start
  • Education verification of highest academic degree or diploma/GED
  • EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) check dated within 30 days
  • OIG (Office of Inspector General) exclusion check dated within 30 days
  • State-specific criminal and abuse registry checks as applicable
  • Conflict of Interest Disclosure form
  • Code of Conduct form
  • Confidentiality and Information Security Agreement
  • Integrity and Audit Services form
  • Non-Employee Upload form
  • System Access form (to be completed and uploaded one week before start)

Competency and Skills

  • Specialty-specific competency testing completed within the last year
  • Skills checklist provided by agency for clinical contractors
  • Joint Commission CORE exam within the last year

Additional Notes

  • All certifications and verifications must be scanned and uploaded to the credential management system prior to or at onboarding
  • Declinations for vaccines are not accepted in Illinois except for Tdap if no pediatric interaction
  • Documentation must include front and back images of certification cards where applicable

This position is ideal for experienced Labor and Delivery RNs seeking a 13-week long-term assignment with evening/night shifts in Illinois.
