Description
MRI Tech Travel/Contract Position
Location: Akron, Ohio
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Monday: 10:30 AM – 11:00 PM (mixed inpatients and outpatients)
- Saturday & Sunday: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (mostly outpatients)
- Shift Type: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (total 36 hours/week)
Equipment
- Primarily GE 3T Discovery 750W MRI
- May also scan on Siemens Sola 1.5T
Required Qualifications
- MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience
- MRI Technologist experience within the last year
Onboarding & Compliance
- Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start (must be done on a computer using Google Chrome; video must be watched before test)
- Photo ID (government-issued) required and must be carried on assignment
- Photo for badge required prior to start
- Annual acknowledgment of orientation safety manual
- Influenza vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 31 – Mar 31)
- TB questionnaire required annually if history of positive TB test
Additional Notes
- Physical exam does not need annual update if continuously assigned without break
- Latex allergy notification required to ensure availability of latex-free gloves
- Fingerprinting results must be received prior to contract extension; facility approval required if results are pending
- Travelers with a break in employment greater than 6 months may need to retake onboarding modules
- Legal name must be used consistently in onboarding systems
