Work Schedule

• Approximately 36 hours per week
• Day shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)

Unit Information

• Operating Room (OR) setting
• Staff includes Director, Charge Nurse, 4-6 OR staff depending on volume, PACU, Central Sterile Processor
• Patient ratio: 1:1
• Equipment: Various surgical equipment
• Documentation: Paper / SIS system
• Staff float requirement: Must be willing to float to any surgery center within 25 miles as needed

Typical Procedures

• Total joint replacements
• Sports injury surgeries
• Podiatry procedures
• Plastic surgeries
• General orthopedic surgeries

Required Qualifications

• Valid Surgical Technician license in Colorado
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technician
• Surgical Technician experience within the last year
• Certified Surgical Technician (CST)
• Active National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) certification
• Active Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing (DORA) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with total joints, general surgery, podiatry, sports medicine
• Orthopedic and spine surgery experience

• The unit has approximately 20 staff members on day shift
