Description
Physical Therapist (Rehabilitation Therapy) - Stockton, CA
Position Type
- Contract
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Day shift
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Implement patient rehabilitation programs to improve mobility, function, and strength.
- Evaluate and treat patients in an outpatient/rehabilitation clinic setting.
- Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and Aides in all aspects of patient care.
- Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) for evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries.
- Communicate with physicians and healthcare team to ensure quality patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and follow-up on prescriptions, test results, and authorizations.
- Participate in business marketing and referral processes as needed.
- Adhere to HIPAA policies and procedures to protect patient privacy.
- Comply with OSHA, federal, and state regulations.
Physical Demands
- Ability to be physically mobile: combination of sitting, walking, and prolonged standing for 8-10 hour workdays.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Assist patients with mobility restraints, transfers, and walking safety.
- Constant alertness for patient safety.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in California
- Degree in Physical Therapy
- Minimum of 1 year of Physical Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience in supervisory roles
Preferred Qualifications
- Continuing education courses in Physical Therapy.
