Description
Ultrasonographer - Diagnostic Imaging
Location: Hilo, Hawaii
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including:
- Abdomen: Aorta, IVC, Liver/Biliary, Pancreas, Spleen, Renal (normal and pathology)
- Gynecological: Breast, ovaries, adnexa, uterus, pelvis (normal, pathology, post-menopausal, transvaginal, adult and pediatric)
- Obstetrics: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester; amniocentesis; complications; biophysical profile; gestational age; placental grading; abnormalities; IUGR; uterus/adnexa
- Neonatal: Congenital anomalies and neonatal head imaging
- Superficial structures: Abdominal wall, breast, focal masses, hematoma, scrotum & testes, thyroid
- Vascular: Carotid duplex, segmental pressure studies, upper and lower extremity venous and arterial duplex
- Procedures include aspirations, biopsies, drainage, and intraoperative imaging
- Equipment used: Canon i700 ultrasound machine, Meditech EMR, Fuji Synapse PACS
- Floating to other units/departments as needed
- 40-hour shifts with call when appropriate
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, including experience within the last year
- ARDMS certification
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Experience in an acute care setting
Additional Information
- Must arrive the Thursday before the start date for an employee health appointment on Friday; punctuality for this is mandatory
- Dress code: Personal scrubs or healthcare professional attire
- Variable shift schedule
