Registered Nurse (ICU) - Travel Position
Location: Manchester, New Hampshire
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36
Unit Information
- Unit: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- Number of Beds: 20
- Patient Population: Mixed medical and surgical ICU
- Patient Ratios:
- ECMO: 2:1
- Post open heart surgery: 1:1
- Critical ICU/devices patients: 1:1
- Typical ICU assignment: 1:2
- Stepdown: 1:3-4
- Staffing:
- Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 8-10 RNs, 1-3 LNAs, sitter PRN
- Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 8-10 RNs, 1-3 LNAs, sitter PRN
- Equipment Used:
IV pumps, telemetry monitors, hoyer/stand lifts, Impella, IABP, CRRT (NxStage), bladder scanner, Bair hugger, rapid transfuser, Blanketrol (warming/cooling), chest tubes, vein finder, Sorin retransfuser (post cardiac surgery), ventilator, high flow nasal cannula, BiPAP/CPAP - Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Sunrise
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU), with ICU experience within the last year
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Telemetry experience

- Pericardiocentesis with drains left in place post-procedure
- Thoracentesis
- Central line insertion
- Arterial line insertion
- Chest tube insertion
- Intubation
- TEE cardioversion, TTE
- Transvenous pacing wire insertion

- Weekends: Every third weekend required
