Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Postpartum/Mom Baby

Unit Information
- Unit: Postpartum / Mother-Baby (3 North)
- Beds: 23
- Staff: Approximately 80 staff members on mom/baby unit
- Day Shift Staffing: 1 charge nurse, 2-3 CNAs, 9-10 RNs on the floor, 3-4 RNs in the nursery
- Night Shift Staffing: 1 charge nurse, 9-10 RNs on the floor, 2-3 RNs in the nursery
- Patient Ratios: Approximately 3-4 patients per nurse (estimated, not guaranteed)
- EMR System: Meditech / CPN
Typical Procedures
- Monitoring vital signs
- Administering medications
- Managing perineal care
- Educating parents on newborn care, safety, and bonding
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 1 year of Maternal-Newborn experience, with experience within the last year
- Experience in an acute care setting
- Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience specifically in a Mother/Baby unit
- Flexibility with scheduling
- Ability to adapt quickly to new situations
