Location: Crescent City, California

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Perform routine and specialized radiology procedures to produce quality diagnostic images for physicians and healthcare providers. Work independently using sound judgment and clinical skills to ensure safe, accurate, and timely results. Provide patient assessment, monitoring, and effective communication to gain patient and family cooperation. Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations to ensure privacy and safety.

Work Schedule

• 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts
• Variable shift start times between 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM
• Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of diagnostic radiographic examinations using stationary and mobile equipment
• Assist physicians during radiological diagnostic and guidance imaging for invasive procedures
• Educate patients on procedures, medications, and contrast media to reduce anxiety
• Mentor and support students and new technologists
• Complete clerical tasks including answering phones, updating patient appointments, and maintaining electronic health records (EHR) and radiology information systems (RIS)
• Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed
• Implement radiation safety standards to minimize exposure (ALARA principle)
• Clean and disinfect equipment after each procedure
• Inspect and calibrate equipment, document quality control results, and report malfunctions

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiology Technologist license in California
• Radiology Technologist experience within the last year, minimum 1 year total experience
• California Fluoroscopy (CA Fluoro) license
• X-Ray Technician experience
