Radiation Therapist Travel/Contract Job - Saint Louis, Missouri
Job Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Monday to Friday, 4 days of 10-hour shifts (6:15 AM - 4:45 PM)
- Weekly Hours: 40 hours guaranteed
- Contract Length: 12 weeks
- Caseload: 8-15 patients daily
- Local Radius Rule: Candidates must live more than 75 miles away (no locals accepted)
- Floating: No floating to sister facilities
- On-Call: Not required
- Weekend Work: Not required
- Block Scheduling: Not accommodated
- Cross-Training Opportunity: Proton therapy, external beam, simulation, and overtime shifts available
- No previous brachytherapy experience required
Job Description
- Work primarily in the brachytherapy department
- Operate HDR (High Dose Rate) units and assist in brachytherapy implants
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals as directed by Authorized User/Authorized Medical Physicist (AU/AMP)
- Must pass the NRC Radiation Safety Exam within the first 2 weeks of the contract (study materials provided)
- Sensitivity training is highly preferred
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiation Therapist license in Missouri
- Minimum 1 year of Radiation Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification, including ARRT (T)

- Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care Hospital
- Beds: 1266 staffed beds
- Charting System: EPIC
- Parking: Paid parking available (~$67/month) or public transportation options (rail and bus)
- Scrub Color: No specific scrub color required

- No weekend or holiday shifts
- No floating to other facilities
- No block scheduling accommodations
- Locals within 75 miles are not accepted
- Opportunity to pick up overtime shifts
