Job Opportunity: Adult Critical Care Registered Respiratory Therapist
Location
- Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type
- Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Night shifts, 3 shifts per week
- Shift hours: 6:15 PM to 6:45 AM
- Adult critical care setting
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Massachusetts
- Minimum of 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) certification
Required Credentials and Documentation
- Current professional respiratory therapy license (RRT) with NBRC certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA preferred)
- Recent color photo (within 6 months) meeting specific guidelines (plain background, no glasses, symmetrical headshot)
- Fit Test for N95 respirator within 365 days of start date, updated annually (no exemptions allowed)
- Respirator Medical Clearance attestation completed prior to fit testing
- Documentation of immunity or vaccination for MMR (measles, mumps, rubella)
- Tuberculosis (TB) test documentation within 3 months of start date, updated if break >6 months (skin test or blood test)
- Physician health statement signed within 365 days of start date, updated if break >6 months
- Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start date, including Massachusetts CORI and national sex offender registry checks, updated if break >6 months
- Social Security Number trace covering last 7 years
- Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid) within 30 days of start and annually
- Verification of highest level of education achieved
- Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state
- Two professional references within 4 years, including at least one supervisor or higher in the relevant skillset
- Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission
- Candidate submission coversheet for initial assignment and new facility submissions
Additional Information
- MA Conditional Licenses are not accepted
- No fit testing can be done onsite; must be completed prior to start
- Positive TB test requires negative chest x-ray documentation (optional but recommended)
- Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity is strongly preferred but optional
- Tdap vaccination within 10 years is preferred but optional
- Name change documentation required if legal name differs from credential documents
