Ultrasound Tech - Echocardiology

Location: Las Cruces, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Work Schedule: Sunday through Thursday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• One weekend of call (Friday-Sunday) every 5th week
• Unit: Echo
• Facility Size: 199 beds, including a 22-bed Emergency Room and 32-bed Critical Care Unit
• Equipment: GE ultrasound machines
• Documentation Systems: Meditech, Change Healthcare PACS
• Floating Policy: None
• Procedures Performed:

  • Transthoracic Echocardiograms
  • Bubble studies
  • Definity contrast studies
  • Assisting with Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE), structural heart procedures, TAVR, and TEE during Watchman procedures
• Patient Care Settings: Inpatient, Outpatient, and Cath Lab exams

Required Qualifications

• Valid Echo Technologist license in New Mexico
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Echo Technologist, including experience within the last year
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Experience in inpatient and outpatient settings

• Dress Code: Scrubs of any color
• The facility is Joint Commission Accredited and recognized as a Certified Primary Stroke Center and Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI
• Located in a region known for year-round sunshine and outdoor recreational activities such as hiking, biking, ATV riding, hunting, and horseback riding
