Description
Registered Nurse (RN) – Dialysis (Days)
Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work 36-40 hours per week; overtime billable after 40 hours
- Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed
- Orientation dates available (specific dates not included here)
- Electronic Medical Record system: EPIC
- Equipment experience required with Fresenius dialysis machines
- Proficiency required in blood transfusions and heparin administration
- Night shift not applicable; this is a day shift position
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 12 months of recent dialysis experience (must be current and documented in work history/resume)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or multistate compact license at time of submission
- American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) BLS certification (current)
- Valid driver’s license
- Skills checklist specific to dialysis discipline required
- Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system
- Professional reference or performance evaluation from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, or equivalent within the last 24 months is preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred; candidates who have completed a travel assignment within the past 15 months are highly preferred
- First-time travelers are not preferred
Additional Information
- New graduate orientation (NBO) is 16 hours
- Overtime and holiday pay multipliers apply (details not included here)

- Employee separation policy restricts travel assignments for certain past employees within the last 12 months within this market area
