Registered Nurse - Med Surg Telemetry

Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Shift: 7 PM to 7 AM
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36 or 48 (candidate must specify preference)
- May be required to float within a 25-mile radius of the facility
Unit and Patient Population
- Specialty: Medical-Surgical Telemetry
- Patient ratio: 1:6 (with support staff including CNAs and LPNs)
- Patient population: Adults and all ages
- Electronic Health Record system: MediTech
Required Certifications and Licenses
- Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Iowa
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification is a plus but not required
- Healthcare Worker Certification (HWC) required
- NIH Certification required
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa
- Minimum of 1 year of telemetry nursing experience, with telemetry experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Onboarding and Background Check Requirements
- Must have Iowa SING background check clearance (including criminal and child abuse checks) prior to start; no exceptions
- All background checks (county and state) must be fully cleared before starting; instant or statewide searches are not accepted
- Mandatory reporter certification for child and adult required
- Drug test must be a 10-panel screening including opiates
- Titers must be current within the last 12 months
- Start days allowed: Monday or Tuesday
