Registered Nurse (RN) - ED/MedSurg Swing
Location: Garrison, North Dakota
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days (12-hour shifts, 7a-7p)
Hours per Week: 36
Unit Details
- Unit Type: Emergency Department (ED) / Medical-Surgical Swing
- Number of Beds: 22
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratios:
- Acute: 1:4
- Swing Bed: 1:6
- ED: 1:4
- Common Patient Diagnoses: Any
- Telemetry: Yes, RN reads strips in ED
- Respiratory Equipment: NEBS, O2 nasal and mask; ventilator used only in ED and for transport; CPAP may be brought in for swing bed patients
- Charge Nurse: Present on unit
- Nurse Aids: Not specified
Scheduling & Requirements
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday
- Call/Standby: Flexible time
- Floating: May float to ED holds and may work as charge nurse
- Dress Code: Any scrub color
- Orientation: Unit-specific orientation provided on days, every other week
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Dakota
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year
- Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Ability to titrate drips (common drips are standard)
Additional Notes
- Must comply with a 50-mile radius rule
- Cannot have worked permanently or PRN at this facility within the last 12 months
