Location: Garrison, North Dakota
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days (12-hour shifts, 7a-7p)

• Unit Type: Emergency Department (ED) / Medical-Surgical Swing
• Number of Beds: 22
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratios:

  • Acute: 1:4
  • Swing Bed: 1:6
  • ED: 1:4
• Common Patient Diagnoses: Any
• Telemetry: Yes, RN reads strips in ED
• Respiratory Equipment: NEBS, O2 nasal and mask; ventilator used only in ED and for transport; CPAP may be brought in for swing bed patients
• Charge Nurse: Present on unit
• Nurse Aids: Not specified

Scheduling & Requirements

• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday
• Call/Standby: Flexible time
• Floating: May float to ED holds and may work as charge nurse
• Dress Code: Any scrub color
• Orientation: Unit-specific orientation provided on days, every other week

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Dakota
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year
• Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Ability to titrate drips (common drips are standard)

Additional Notes

• Must comply with a 50-mile radius rule
• Cannot have worked permanently or PRN at this facility within the last 12 months
